Introduction
On the 30th of November, 2024, KP 21st Century IAS Academy hosted an engaging Campus Talk for Intermediate boys and girls on the topic “Is the Education System in India Churning?” The talk aimed to offer a critical analysis of the evolution of education in India, from ancient educational practices to the modern system, while addressing the ongoing changes and challenges within the current educational framework. The event provided students with valuable insights into how education has shaped India and where it stands today, encouraging them to reflect on the system’s strengths, weaknesses, and the way forward.
Objective of the Mock Parliament
The primary goal of the Mock Parliament is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the workings of a parliamentary democracy. The session is designed to simulate the legislative process, offering insights into how laws are proposed, debated, and enacted. The activity focuses on fostering an appreciation for democratic principles, encouraging students to engage in critical discussions about pressing societal issues, and understanding the complexities of decision-making in governance. Through this experience, students gain awareness of the roles and responsibilities of lawmakers, the importance of dialogue and compromise, and the impact of effective policymaking on society.

Key Highlights of Mr. Krishna Pradeep’s Address
In his speech, Mr. Krishna Pradeep spoke passionately about the power of educated and responsible representatives in shaping the future of Indian democracy. He emphasized that the quality of leadership within the parliament and other political offices is crucial to ensuring progressive and effective governance. The event began with great pomp and ceremony, as students representing the parliamentary staff welcomed the President of India (a student assuming this role) with a grand march and Guard of Honour. This ceremonial welcome not only set the tone for the day but also gave students a glimpse of the respect and formality that accompanies such high offices in real-world governance.

The President delivered an inspiring speech, congratulating the students on their participation and stressing the importance of understanding the country’s democratic processes. The speech highlighted key issues of national importance, setting the agenda for the day’s parliamentary proceedings. This segment allowed students to witness the President’s role in shaping the discourse within the parliament.
3. Motion Introductions and Debates:
Several motions were introduced, with debates taking place on various national issues.
