Common University Entrance Test (CUET)

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a national-level examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into undergraduate programs across various central, state, and private universities in India. CUET aims to provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates nationwide, ensuring a uniform admission process.

Key Features of CUET:

  • Participating Universities: Over 200 universities, including all central universities and many state and private institutions, accept CUET scores for undergraduate admissions.

  • Exam Structure: CUET assesses candidates through multiple-choice questions covering:

    • Section I: Language proficiency in English or other specified languages.

    • Section II: Domain-specific subjects based on the chosen undergraduate program.

    • Section III: General Aptitude Test (GAT) evaluating quantitative reasoning, logical reasoning, and general knowledge.

  • Mode of Examination: The exam is conducted exclusively in a computer-based format (CBT), ensuring a standardized and efficient assessment process.

  • Duration: Each section has a fixed duration, with all subjects having a uniform duration of 60 minutes.

  • Subject Selection: Candidates can choose up to five subjects, promoting interdisciplinary education and flexibility in course selection.
