Conducted ByThe CAT exam is conducted by one of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) on a rotational basis under the IIM Council.
Exam ModeCAT is conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) at designated examination centres across India.

EligibilityCandidates must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (or 45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).

Degree + CAT Program – Common Questions

What is the CAT Foundation program at KP's 21st Century College?
It is a degree-integrated CAT Foundation coaching program that prepares students for the Common Admission Test (CAT) — the primary route for IIM MBA/PGDM admissions and other top B-Schools — alongside a parallel CIVILS Foundation track that keeps both corporate and governance career paths open.
 
CAT is conducted by one of the IIMs on a rotational basis. It is a 2-hour Computer-Based Test covering VARC, DILR, and Quantitative Aptitude (40 minutes per section). Marking is +3 for correct MCQ answers, −1 for incorrect ones, and no negative marking for TITA questions.
 
Apart from the 21 IIMs, CAT scores are accepted by over 1,200 management institutes including FMS Delhi, SPJIMR Mumbai, MDI Gurgaon, IIFT Delhi/Kolkata, TAPMI, IMI Delhi, IMT Ghaziabad, Great Lakes, and XIMB Bhubaneswar.
