The only integrated Intermediate program combining History, Economics & Civics with full UPSC Civil Services coaching — simultaneously, from Class 11.
About the program
A Strong Start for Future Civil Servants
The HEC–IAS Foundation Program at KP's 21st Century College, Hyderabad is a 2-year integrated Intermediate course for Class 11 and Class 12 students. It combines the History, Economics, and Civics (HEC) stream with structured UPSC Civil Services foundation coaching — so you prepare for both simultaneously.
Unlike choosing a coaching institute after graduation, this program gives you a 2-year head start on UPSC preparation while you complete your Board exams. The HEC subjects you study for Intermediate are the exact same subjects tested in UPSC GS Papers — making this the most efficient path to civil services for humanities students.
Aligned with the "One Nation, One Curriculum" philosophy under the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), our program bridges school-level education with the requirements of national competitive exams, producing students who are academically strong and examination-ready.
"History, Economics, and Civics aren't just Board subjects here — they are your UPSC GS syllabus. Every lecture you attend counts twice."

FAQ
Frequently Asked Question
What is the HEC–IAS Foundation program at KP's 21st Century College?
It is a 2-year integrated Intermediate program combining the History, Economics, and Civics (HEC) stream with structured UPSC Civil Services foundation coaching. Students study for Class 11 and 12 Board exams while simultaneously building a strong base for the IAS Prelims and Mains — from the very first day.
Who should enroll in the HEC–IAS Foundation program?
Class 10 pass-outs with a genuine interest in history, social sciences, economics, and governance who aspire to become IAS, IPS, IFS officers, or pursue careers in public administration. Also ideal for students targeting state-level services like TGPSC and APPSC, or law entrance exams like CLAT.
Will this program affect my Intermediate Board exam preparation?
No. The curriculum is specifically designed so that HEC Intermediate subjects and UPSC preparation reinforce each other. History for Board is the same History tested in UPSC GS Paper I. Economics for Board maps directly to GS Paper III. Students study smarter — the same topics serve both exams, reducing total study burden.
How does HEC stream help in UPSC preparation compared to other streams?
HEC is the most aligned Intermediate stream for UPSC Civil Services. History covers GS Paper I (Indian History, World History), Economics covers GS Paper III (Indian Economy), and Civics/Political Science covers GS Paper II (Indian Polity, Constitution, Governance). This triple overlap gives HEC students a massive advantage over MPC or BiPC students who need to study all these subjects from scratch during UPSC coaching.
Is hostel accommodation available?
Yes. KP’s 21st Century College has a residential campus at Shamshabad, Hyderabad with 24-hour security, a dedicated UPSC library containing over 5,000 books, digital smart classrooms, and a reading hall open until 11 PM. Hostel facility is available for outstation students.
Can the HEC–IAS Foundation program help for other competitive exams?
Absolutely. The skills and knowledge gained are applicable to TGPSC, APPSC, CLAT, CUET, SSC, RRB, and various state-level competitive exams. The critical thinking, essay writing, and current affairs skills built in this program are transferable to virtually any competitive examination in India.
