In my final year, I took on the role of Director for the Mock Parliament, stepping into leadership after almost five years since being SPL in 10th grade. Initially, I was nervous and unsure about organizing teams, assigning roles, and ensuring smooth coordination.

Our teachers encouraged us to make our own decisions, which meant handling conflicts, managing different personalities, and ensuring every voice was heard. The toughest part was balancing structure with flexibility while adapting to unexpected challenges.

This experience taught me valuable lessons. I learned the importance of delegation, decision-making under pressure, and crisis management. I realized how difficult it is to administer even a small event, which deepened my respect for civil servants handling large-scale governance. It also reinforced the necessity of decentralization in administration.

Beyond leadership, I discovered hidden talents—structured note-taking, strategic planning, and effective communication. I saw firsthand how teamwork and adaptability drive success.

In the end, the event was a huge success, blending education with entertainment. It gave me unforgettable memories and practical insights that go far beyond textbooks.

My Experience as the Director of Talk 21 :
Talk 21 was a truly special event for me, not just because it was my first time acting as a director, but also because of the incredible impact it had on the participants. Many students, some of whom were stepping onto the stage for the first time, gained the confidence to speak in public. Seeing them perform exceptionally well was one of the most rewarding aspects of the event.

From a leadership perspective, this experience gave me valuable exposure to event management. Coordinating both boys and girls, thinking in a futuristic way, adapting to unexpected situations, and making swift decisions were all part of my role. Each challenge helped me grow and refine my skills.

Overall, Talk 21 was a memorable journey—one that not only boosted the confidence of the participants but also shaped me as a leader.
